Sad Sax 2: The Rona Warrior

It's a sequel, here we go again
Nuance forgotten, explosions ramped up to eleven
As I'm confined to my luxury padded cell
Covid 2: this time is personal (it really feels personal)
As that cursed second line joins the test
McClane said it best in his Die Hard 2 vest
"How can the same thing happen to the same guy twice?"
Well if you will socialise you now pay the price
The Terminator gave warning he'd be back
And this virus seems to have a machine precision knack
Of knowing when I'm about to go away, to say
"No way, today just ain't your day!"
Knowing rules of sequels I must get ripped and fight back
Lift my mind from its sleeping sad sack
Stare my foe down and give it my pitch
"Get away from me you bitch!"
But given the nemesis I face is a virus
All windmills chucked are doomed to miss
Nevertheless, punches I throw in a futile bid
To rid me of this big boss vid
And yet one day I know I'll be free
Blissfully unaware that this story is actually a trilogy
For now take the simple pleasure of having my health
"A sequel is an admission you've been reduced to imitating yourself"
Don Marquis' metre busting quote this poem endeth
To be continued...
